Takeaways from Friday's Action 1-Michigan continues to impress. They bullied Gonzaga all day on Friday, taking home the Battle for Atlantis Championship. This team should skyrocket in the rankings, and they have another chance for a marquee win when they visit Louisville on Tuesday night for the B1G/ACC Challenge. 2-It was a tough trip to Las Vegas for Texas Tech. The Red Raiders were stunned by Iowa in the opener, and they followed that up with a overtime defeat at the hands of Creighton. This 0-2 trip was not what Chris Beard had envisioned, as the team was favored to take home the title.  3-Markus Howard just became the fourth major conference player to record back-to-back 40 plus point games in consecutive days. This man is a pure volume scorer, and he is the key to Marquette's ability to win games this season. He will need another fantastic performance against a tough Maryland team in Sunday's title game. 4-After a tough season opening loss to Pitt

Takeaways from Thursday's Action 1-The NFL is always going to be the king of Turkey Day, but there is some fantastic college basketball on Thanksgiving. Feast Week is still great on the day of feasting. 2- Michigan is playing as well as anyone in the nation. For yet another year, the Wolverines were once again underrated to start the season. Despite winning by only 11, the Wolverines absolutely dominated North Carolina on Thanksgiving Day. The most impressive part of the victory was that Zavier Simpson, easily their best and most important player, played only 17 minutes due to foul trouble, eventually fouling out late in the game. As much as it may hurt Michigan State fans to hear this, Juwan Howard has Michigan firing on all cylinders right now. 3-Iowa with a marquee victory over the 2019 National Runner-Up Texas Tech Red Raide
