Michigan State vs Michigan: The Best/Worst Games in the Storied Rivalry

 The Paul Bunyan Trophy is on the line this week in Ann Arbor. Will the Spartans be able to recover from that SEVEN turnover affair against Rutgers? Can Michigan keep the momentum from a great offensive display against Minnesota? Michigan State is looking to snap a two-game skid against the Wolverines, while Michigan is hoping to win three in a row for the first time since winning six in a row in 2002-07. We all know what happened after that game (thanks Mike Hart!) MSU Football: Michigan State Lands Pair of Recruits in 2021 Class

The Michigan State Football recruiting class has continued to grow, with a pair of commits announcing that they will be in the 2021 class over the past 24 hours.  On Thursday night, Michael Gravely Jr. joined the 2021 Class per his Twitter page. MSU Football: Charles Brantley Becomes Latest Commit in 2021 Class

The Mel Tucker recruiting train continues to roll, as the first-year head coach has continued to pile up 2021 commits over the past few days. Today, he added another defensive player to the mix, when Charles Brantley announced on his Twitter page that he will continue his career at Michigan State. MSU Football: Kameron Allen Commits to Michigan State for 2021 Class

Michigan State has had some offensive woes within the past few seasons, and the new coaching staff hopes that some new schemes and personnel will fix those issues. In acquiring weapons, tight ends coach Ted Gilbert will be excited to be getting tight end Kameron Allen, who announced on Twitter today that he will be joining the 2021 class. Mel Tucker has stated that he hopes to bring in offensive lineman that have NFL size and athleticism. The latest commit may just be able to check both of those boxes. 6-5/290 Guard Kevin Wigenton II announced that he would be attending Michigan State per his Twitter page. SPARTAN NATION!! The Coronavirus has certainly impacted the college sports landscape, but it has not slowed down Coach Mel Tucker and the Michigan State Spartans' momentum on the recruiting trail. On Monday, the Spartans recieved the sixth commit to their 2021 class, once again on the defensive side of the football. Antoine Booth, a 6-0/185 cornerback out of DeMatha Catholic (Baltimore, MD) has announced per his Twitter page that he will be headed to East Lansing for the next portion of his career. The three-star, 6-6/270 defensive end from Warren Mott is a solid addition to the class. It was going to be the first opportunity for Coach Mel Tucker to show his team off in front of Spartan Nation, who are absolutely ecstatic about the upcoming season. Unfortunately, COVID-19 got in the way and we will not see this team live in action this weekend. The TSR team wanted to keep the Spring Game spirit, and so we invited Eric in and divided up into two teams. Eric and Zach will draft for the Green team, while Nick and Sam represent the White. Mel Tucker's first recruiting class continues to grow early in the recruiting cycle. This afternoon, Derrick Harmon announced that he would become the fourth member of the 2021 class. Harmon is a 6-3/320 DT from Detroit Loyola. Per 247 Composite rankings , he is a three-star player, ranked 55th amongst defensive tackles in the class.
