Nick's Sports Sprint: September 28 2020 NFC North Update

Image
The NFL was the main attraction on Sunday, and let's be honest. There's only one division worth talking about. The Black and Blue Division. The best division. The pride of the Midwest. The all-worldly NFC North. So forget the rest of the NFL, let's talk NFC North and only the NFC North on this Sports Sprint. And honestly, since I love Twitter, we may just let it do most of the talking for me. College football is back! After a couple weeks of games under teams' belts, we are ready to toss our hat in the ring and make some predictions on the best games of the season. Each week, we will choose winners from 12 games across college football, and share a little bit of insight into why we made these picks! Sam: Oklahoma-- You would think after last year’s debacle in Manhattan that this would get the Sooners’ full attention. Spencer Rattler is just the next toy in the machine that is Lincoln Riley’s system. Love watching this offense. Zach: Oklahoma- Spencer Rattler is the next exciting quarterback for the Sooners, but he has big shoes to fill and i

WATCH THESE Gale Sayers, the legendary Bears running back, passed away at the age of 77. Here is a tweet that has the highlights from his historic six-touchdown win over the 49ers on a muddy Wrigley Field. SOMETHING TO WATCH Last night, I was happy to be a guest on Captain Lou's Extravaganza, hosted by Lou Gamelin. I was on the show to talk about Big Ten football, and it was a great conversation that we had! Check it out, I am on at about the 32:30 mark, but there is plenty to watch all night long. BEST ARTICLES I READ YESTERDAY ESPN: Inside Nick Saban's One Year at Toledo : This was an awesome read into Nick Saban's first year as a head coach in 1990. He coached Toledo before leaving to be the DC of the Browns, and this article interviews players, coaches, etc. from that 1990 season. Take the time and get some insight on Saban's coaching style, even 30 years ago.  TWEETS OF THE DAY September 22, 2007: In the middle of OT between Georgia and Alabama, ESPN announcer Mike Patrick randomly asks what Britney Spear
