11/22 TSR B1G Power Rankings

1. Michigan State (3-1) (4 first place votes--56 points, LW: #1)

Things went as planned for the Spartans against Charleston Southern. They will head to Maui where they start with Virginia Tech. Kansas, Georgia, Dayton, BYU and UCLA could be possible opponents during the weekend.

2. Ohio State (4-0) (51 points, LW: #3)

The Buckeyes move up in the rankings despite an easy win against Stetson. They continue the lighter portion of their non-conference this week against PFW and Kent State.

3. Maryland (4-0) (47 points, LW: #2)

The Terps are still undefeated after taking care of Oakland and Fairfield. They will held to Orlando, where they face Temple. Other possible opponents in this tournament are Marquette, USC, Harvard, Texas A&M and Davidson.

4. Michigan (3-0) (43 points, LW: #4)

After a tune-up against Houston Baptist, the Wolverines head to Atlantis. In addition to round one against Iowa State, Michigan could face teams such as North Carolina, Alabama, Oregon, Seton Hall and Gonzaga.

5. Purdue (2-2) (37 points, LW: #5)

Two straight light weeks for the Boilermakers before they head to Florida next weekend for the Emerald Coast Classic.

6. Wisconsin (4-1) (35 points, LW: #6)

The Badgers had the most impressive win of the week in the conference. They bullied Marquette, shutting down Markus Howard in a sixteen point win. This week, they head to Brooklyn to face Richmond and either Auburn or New Mexico in the Legends Classic.

7. Indiana (5-0) (33 points, LW: #7)

The Hoosiers have another light week ahead as Louisiana Tech comes to town. The schedule has been easy for Indiana thus far.

8. Penn State (4-0) (31 points, LW: #8)

The Nittany Lions got an impressive win over Bucknell, a threat in the Patriot League race. After Saturday's game with Yale, they will head to Brooklyn. They will face Ole Miss and then either Oklahoma State or Syracuse.

T9. Illinois (4-1) (21 points, LW: #9)

The Fighting Illini played well against an underrated Hawaii team, and they followed that up with an easy win over The Citadel. The competition stays easy for Illinois against Hampton and Division 2 Lindenwood.

T9. Minnesota (2-3) (21 points, LW: #10)

Minnesota lost another tough game against Utah, their latest Power 5 opponent on the schedule. They rebounded with a strong showing against Central Michigan on Thursday night. On Sunday, they will host North Dakota.

T9. Iowa (3-1) (21 points, LW: #11)

Iowa added two wins to its total with wins over lesser opponents. This week they only have one game, taking on Cal Poly. At the end of next week, they head to Las Vegas for their tournament.

12. Rutgers (4-1) (11 points, LW: #12)

The Scarlet Knights suffered their first setback of 2019 when they lost to St. Bonaventure in Toronto. They defeated Stephen F Austin in their midweek game, and they will play NJIT next Tuesday in a battle between state foes.

13. Nebraska (1-2) (7 points, LW: #14)

The Cornhuskers got their first win this past week against South Dakota State. They will try to even their record against Southern on Friday night before heading to the Cayman Islands. After their opener against Washington State, they could face George Mason, New Mexico State, Loyola (IL), South Florida, Colorado State or Old Dominion.

14. Northwestern (1-2) (6 points, LW: #12)

The confusing season of Northwestern continued on Tuesday night, as they lost to Radford. This follows up a season opening lost to Merrimack and a win over Providence. On Friday, they play Norfolk State, one of the MEAC's best teams. They then head to Fort Meyers where they will face Bradley and either Kansas State or Pittsburgh.
