TSR 2/14/20 CBB Picks

FRIDAY’S GAMES

1. Toledo vs Buffalo (6:30, ESPN3)

Nick: Buffalo- I grew up a Rockets fan, but they are not good this season. Meanwhile, Buffalo has won less games this season than the past few years under Nate Oats, but they could still be a threat in the MAC Tournament.

Sam: Buffalo-- I like Nate Oats

Zach: Toledo- Maybe one of these days I’ll get to a game at the luxurious Savage Arena

2. St. Bonaventure vs Davidson (7:00, ESPN2)

Nick: St Bonaventure- The Bonnies are trying to make a late push for an NCAA Tournament bid at 17-8 and 9-3 in the Atlantic 10. Their win over Rutgers continues to look better, but they need to rack up wins and avoid bad losses. This is a game that they need to get an at-large berth.

Sam: Davidson

Zach: St. Bonaventure

3. Central Michigan vs Akron (7:00, ESPNU)

Nick: Akron- The MAC seems to run through the MAC East, as the division has won 14 of the last 15 MAC Tournament titles. In that span Akron has three championships, and this team seems to have the guns to make another run.

Sam: Akron

Zach: Akron- Central Michigan is not that good, sorry Chippewa fans. Maybe if they didn’t have so many transfers and got a core group of guys that stuck together for a few years, they may have a chance of being good.

4. Princeton vs Yale (7:00, ESPNNEWS)

Nick: Yale- First place in the Ivy League is on the line in this nationally televised game. The Bulldogs still have an outside shot at an at-large bid if they can avoid too many losses, and Jadwin is a tough environment.

Sam: Yale

Zach: Yale

5. Wright State vs UIC (9:00, ESPN2)

Nick: Wright State- The Raiders are head and shoulders better than the rest of the Horizon League this season.

Sam: Wright state

Zach: Wright State- This game is going to get ugly, and fast

6. Siena vs Rider (9:00, ESPNU)

Nick: Rider- The last time that Rider made the NCAA Tournament was 1994, and they are currently in first place in the MAAC right now. This team may have the chance at history.

Sam: Rider

Zach: Siena

7. Northern Kentucky vs IUPUI (7:00, ESPN+)

Nick: Northern Kentucky- The Jags are struggling this year, so even though NKU is down this year, they have enough to get the victory at home.

Sam: NKY

Zach: Northern Kentucky- Like the Horizon matchup tow above, this game is going to be ugly

8. Penn vs Brown (7:00, ESPN+)

Nick: Penn- The Quakers are playing great lately, and this victory gets them to six straight wins.

Sam: Penn

Zach: Penn

9. Harvard vs Cornell (7:00, ESPN+)

Nick: Harvard- The Crimson are 6-0 at home this season. Make it 7-0.

Sam: Harvard

Zach: Harvard

10. North Dakota State vs Purdue Fort-Wayne (8:00, ESPN+)

Nick: NDSU- The Bison are a great basketball team. Remember when PFW was IPFW, and before that they were IUPU-FW? Soon, they made be FW or W, but tonight they get the L.

Sam: NDSU

Zach: NDSU- I like what Nick said, very creative, but at the same time, not.
