TSR 2/5/20 CBB Picks

TODAY’S GAMES

1. Butler vs Villanova (6:30, FS1)

Nick: Butler—Kamar Baldwin may just be the second best player in the Big East. His stellar play continues tonight with a big win for the Bulldogs in front of a tough Hinkle crowd.

Sam: Villanova-- Is Hinkle really that tough a place to play? I mean Providence just won there… Nova picks up a big road win.

Zach: Butler- Baldwin vs Gillespie will be a great matchup, but Hinkle is a tough place to play, especially in these big matchups

2. West Virginia vs Iowa State (7:00, ESPN2)

Nick: West Virginia—The perfect home recorded stays in tact. This Iowa State team just has not lived up to expectations this year.

Sam: West Virginia-- Tshibwe and Culver down low are and will continue to be a problem for Mountaineer opponents.

Zach: West Virginia- The Mountaineers haven’t failed to cue Country Roads this season,I expect no change in that tonight

3. Purdue vs Iowa (7:00, BTN)

Nick: Iowa—Luka Garza is the front runner for Big Ten Player of the Year. He has a tough assignment against Matt Haarms and Trevion Williams, but his supporting cast should shoulder the load. A close game throughout, without a doubt.

Sam: Iowa-- I truly only believe Mackey is tough to play for MSU. And this Iowa offense has just so many weapons..

Zach: Purdue- You know Mackey and the Paint Crew will be up for this huge game. Purdue actually has the size to matchup with the Hawkeyes and Luka Garza and they upset Number 17 Iowa

4. Providence vs Creighton (7:00)

Nick: Creighton—Don't look now, but the Blue Jays are lurking on the outside of the Big East title race, with key games against Seton Hall coming up. Coach McDermott has his team locked in for this game, knowing what is within reach.

Sam: Creighton-- Blue Jays pick up a quality road win after the huge win at Villanova over the weekend

Zach: Creighton

5. Minnesota vs Wisconsin (9:00, BTN)

Nick: Minnesota—Buzzcut Brad returns for Wisconsin against their biggest rival, but they do not have an answer for Daniel Oturu. A Minnesota team that is desperate for a win, gets one at home.

Sam: Minnesota-- Gophers need this one in the baddest of ways

Zach: Minnesota- Huge letdown for the Badgers at The Barn coming off of their win against Michigan State

6. Memphis vs Temple (8:00, CBSSN)

Nick: Memphis—Oh what could have been....now the Tigers need games like this to even have at-large consideration.

Sam: Memphis

Zach: Memphis

7. Georgetown vs Seton Hall (8:30, FS1)

Nick: Seton Hall—Although this feels like a game that Seton Hall tends to blow, I don’t think Georgetown has the fire power offensively. Myles Powell is the Big East’s best player, and he shows why yet again.

Sam: Seton Hall

Zach: Seton Hall

8. Louisville vs Wake Forest (9:00, ESPN2)

Nick: Louisville—I’m with Zach below, this team is overlooked. I think In large part, it results from the weakened ACC, relative to the recent norm, but this is one of three dangerous teams in the league, no matter who they face.

Sam: Louisville

Zach: Louisville- I feel like people have forgotten about this Cards team, and they are the number five team in the country and they just keep winning.

9. Vanderbilt vs LSU (9:00, SEC)

Nick: LSU—Lopsided blowout, though Memorial Gym is unique! Can’t wait to see Will Wade yell across the ends of the gym.

Sam: LSU

Zach: LSU- Unbeaten in league play versus Haven't won a game in league play, easy choice

10. Florida vs Georgia (7:00, ESPNU)

Nick: Georgia—Anthony Edwards is an elite player. Coach Crean wins the big rivalry game.

Sam: Florida

Zach: Florida
