Tuori Sports Report

The 2020 NBA Draft is set to take place on Wednesday. Sam gave his thoughts on the lottery selections, while Nick completed the first round action. 2020 NBA Round 1 Mock Draft Selections 1.Minnesota Timberwolves Nick: Anthony Edwards--I am intrigued by the rumor about the Pistons moving up here to take LaMelo, but I don’t know if they have the pieces to get that trade done. Edwards was phenomenal last year, and he appears to have the least question marks of any of the #1 pick options (LaMelo, Wiseman) Sam: Edwards-- Quite honestly, the Pistons are a lot more than one player away. It’d be exciting, but they aren’t trading up. I think LaMelo is the better player, but Edwards is probably the better fit in Minnesota. 2.Golden State Warriors Nick: James Wiseman--Again, I could see the Warriors making a trade. With LaMelo on the clock, the Pistons could possibly trade up to secure a guard ahead of Charlotte. That being said, if the Warriors do make a pick, I think it has to be Wiseman....

The Paul Bunyan Trophy is on the line this week in Ann Arbor. Will the Spartans be able to recover from that SEVEN turnover affair against Rutgers? Can Michigan keep the momentum from a great offensive display against Minnesota? Michigan State is looking to snap a two-game skid against the Wolverines, while Michigan is hoping to win three in a row for the first time since winning six in a row in 2002-07. We all know what happened after that game (thanks Mike Hart!) As a primer for the game this weekend, and to explain to my new law school friends who don't quite get why this is one of the best rivalries in the country, behold the best and worst games in the rivalry. Although this is from an MSU perspective, just flip the results if you root for that team in Ann Arbor... MICHIGAN STATE'S BEST VICTORIES 1908: East Lansing FINALLY hosted the rivalry after countless meetings in A2. The Spartans held the ranked Wolverines to a scoreless tie, one of the biggest "upsets" of...

The NFL was the main attraction on Sunday, and let's be honest. There's only one division worth talking about. The Black and Blue Division. The best division. The pride of the Midwest. The all-worldly NFC North. So forget the rest of the NFL, let's talk NFC North and only the NFC North on this Sports Sprint. And honestly, since I love Twitter, we may just let it do most of the talking for me. Not quite Jason Hanson legendary, but he is getting there. Pretty crazy to consider the Lions have had three main kickers since 1980. Here's to you Eddie Murray.  In 253 career games, Larry Fitzgerald has been held without a receiving yard twice: * Oct. 31, 2004 vs. Buffalo (his only game without a catch) * Sunday vs. Detroit — Chris Burke (@ChrisBurkeNFL) September 28, 2020 This is pretty ...

College football is back! After a couple weeks of games under teams' belts, we are ready to toss our hat in the ring and make some predictions on the best games of the season. Each week, we will choose winners from 12 games across college football, and share a little bit of insight into why we made these picks! Game 1: #3 Oklahoma vs Kansas State (12:00, FOX) Nick: Oklahoma- The Sooners will not lose this contest for the second season in a row. I was stunned they lost it last year, and I would be even more shocked if they lost again in 2020. Lincoln Riley has the only team that could possibly make the CFP in the always overrated B12. Sam: Oklahoma-- You would think after last year’s debacle in Manhattan that this would get the Sooners’ full attention. Spencer Rattler is just the next toy in the machine that is Lincoln Riley’s system. Love watching this offense. Zach: Oklahoma- Spencer Rattler is the next exciting quarterback for the Sooners, but he has big shoes to fill and i...
